Welcome to StickyHosting’s guide for setting up your email account on an iPhone running iOS. Follow these step-by-step instructions to configure your StickyHosting email using IMAP or POP3 settings in the iOS Mail app.
Step 1: Open Mail Settings
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts, then Add Account.
Step 2: Choose Account Type
- Select Other from the list of email providers.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
Step 3: Enter Your Email Details
- Name: Enter your name (this will appear on sent emails).
- Email: Input your full StickyHosting email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
- Password: Enter your email password.
- Description: Add a label for the account (e.g., "StickyHosting Email").
- Tap Next.
Step 4: Select Account Protocol
- Choose IMAP (recommended for syncing emails across devices) or POP3 (downloads emails to your iPhone).
- Ensure the Mail toggle is enabled.
Step 5: Incoming Server Settings
For IMAP:
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: yourname@yourdomain.com
- Password: Your email password
- (Note: Port 993 and SSL/TLS are automatically set by iOS when SSL is enabled)
For POP3:
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: yourname@yourdomain.com
- Password: Your email password
- (Note: Port 995 and SSL/TLS are automatically set by iOS when SSL is enabled)
Step 6: Outgoing Server Settings
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: yourname@yourdomain.com
- Password: Your email password
- (Note: Port 465 and SSL/TLS are automatically set by iOS when SSL is enabled)
Step 7: Finalize Setup
- Tap Next. iOS will verify your settings.
- If prompted, confirm SSL settings or tap Continue to proceed.
- Select Mail (and any other options like Notes, if desired) to sync.
- Tap Save to complete the setup.
Step 8: Test Your Email
- Open the Mail app on your iPhone.
- Send a test email to verify sending works.
- Check your inbox to confirm you’re receiving emails.

- Verify your server settings, username, and password.
- Ensure you have an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
