How to Set Up Email in Outlook 2010 for Windows
This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure your email account in Microsoft Outlook 2010 on Windows. While these instructions are specific to Outlook 2010, they can also serve as a reference for other Outlook versions with slight variations in the interface.
Step 1: Open Outlook and Add a New Account

Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Click on the File menu in the top-left corner.

Select Info from the left sidebar.

Click the Add Account button.
Step 2: Choose Manual Setup

In the Add New Account window, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.

Click Next.
Step 3: Choose Service

Select Internet E-mail.

Click Next.
Step 4: Enter Internet Email Settings
Under User Information:

Your Name: Enter the name you want to appear on your outbound messages.

Email Address: Enter your full email address.
Under Server Information:

Account Type: Choose either POP3 or IMAP, depending on your preference.

Incoming Mail Server: Enter
mail.YourDomain.com
(replace YourDomain.com with your actual domain). -
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Enter the same server as the incoming mail server.
Under Logon Information:

User Name: Enter your full email address.

Password: Enter your email account password.
Step 5: Configure More Settings

Click the More Settings button.
Outgoing Server Tab

Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Advanced Tab

For POP3 with SSL:

Check the SSL checkbox.

Set the Incoming server (POP3) port to 995.

Optionally, choose when to remove messages from the server.

For IMAP with SSL:

Check the SSL checkbox.

Set the Incoming server (IMAP) port to 993.

For SMTP with SSL:

Check the SSL checkbox.

Set the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 465.
If not using SSL, you may use port 110 for POP3, 143 for IMAP, and 26 for SMTP.

Click OK to return to the previous screen.
Step 6: Test Account Settings

On the Email Account screen, click Test Account Settings.

Outlook will attempt to log in and send a test message.

If the test completes successfully, click Close.

If there are errors, double-check your settings and try again.
Step 7: Complete Setup

Click Next.
