Email Setup on Mac Outlook - StickyHosting.com
This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure your StickyHosting email account on Microsoft Outlook for Mac (Outlook 2011 or later). Follow these steps to set up your email using IMAP or POP3 settings.
Step 1: Open Outlook and Access Accounts
- Launch Microsoft Outlook on your Mac.
- From the top menu, click Tools > Accounts.
- In the Accounts window, click E-mail Account or the + button and select E-mail.
Step 2: Enter Your Email Details
- E-mail Address: Enter your full StickyHosting email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
- Password: Input your email password.
- User Name: Re-enter your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
- Type: Select IMAP (recommended for syncing across devices) or POP3.
- Incoming Server: Enter
mail.yourdomain.com
. - Outgoing Server: Enter
mail.yourdomain.com
. - Check Use SSL to connect for both incoming and outgoing servers.
Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings
- For IMAP:
- Incoming Server Port: 993
- Outgoing Server Port: 465
- For POP3:
- Incoming Server Port: 995
- Outgoing Server Port: 465
- If the default SMTP port (25) doesn’t work, check Override default port and use port 26.
Step 4: Enable SMTP Authentication
- Click More Options under the Outgoing Server section.
- From the Authentication dropdown, select Use Incoming Server Info.
- Click OK to save.
Step 5: Finalize and Test
- Click Add Account to save the settings.
- Outlook will verify the configuration. If prompted, confirm SSL certificates.
- Open Outlook’s main window, send a test email, and check your inbox to ensure everything works.

- Verify your email address, password, and server settings (

). - Ensure SSL is enabled and ports are correct (993/995 for incoming, 465 for outgoing).
